Orphan Crow wrote the article. She's taking a little break from the internet.

Blood Transfusions are Biblically Supported
by allpoweredup into jehovah's witnesses elders: blood transfusions are biblically supported: acts 15:20 says abstain from blood but 1 samuel 14:32-5 says saul's army ate unbled meat to not starve and no verses show god not forgiving them.
christ says god also forgave david's eating temple holy bread to survive and that god wants mercy not sacrifice.
(mt 12) the may 22, 1994 awake tells of 26 jehovah's witness kids who died without transfusions, and by common sense in massive bleeding as in car wrecks blood expanders won't save lives http://www.ajwrb.org.

In every case the Biblical context either states or implies that the prohibition is against the eating of blood. Eating allows the blood to be digested and used by the body as food. A blood transfusion is not "eating blood". No digestion takes place. Doctors do no prescribe blood products to treat malnutrition or hunger. End of conversation.

Watchtower Coercion of Non-JWs
by Lee Elder init is widely known that the watchtower coerces compliance with its deadly blood dogma.
a less known fact is that this pressure is further extended to non-believing family members of jw's.
a new story at ajwrb recounts how jw elders nearly cost the life of one unbeliever when he fell gravely anemic.

Thank you "Under the Radar" for another example of this pernicious aspect of the WT blood doctrine.

Sparrowdown: This speaks to the blood phobias instilled in JWs by Watchtower. Clearly, they know a non-JW is under no restriction from using blood. Now perhaps someone would argue that the restriction applies to all because of the Noachian covenant. I would call nonsense on that because that is strictly a Watchtower interpretation that is universally rejected by Christian and Jewish scholars.

"the problem is that the poster and you Lee elder are not addressing why this study was done and why it appears in later journals. the study was done in order to know and manage risks amongst JW patients who become anaemic to improve outcomes and this is one of the things which you are not allowing for in your so called conservative estimates and it is this that makes your estimates sensationalist".
This is patently false. You have either not read the original research by Beliaev in July 2012 VoxSanginis, or you are being intentionally dishonest. The research was undertaken to assess the clinical benefit and cost-effectiveness of ARBC transfusion in severe anemia. In order to do this the researchers did the only thing they could do, compare costs and outcomes with patients who accept ARBC transfusion with costs and outcomes with a matched set of patients who refuse ARBC transfusion.
Beliaev et als research demonstrated that ARBC transfusion in anaemic patients is clinically beneficial and cost-effective. On this point the outcome of JW patients suffering severe anemia who refused ARBC transfusion, compared to patients who were treated with ARBC transfusion resoundingly demonstrated that ARBC transfusion to treat patients with severe anemia is extremely effective, not to mention its cost effectiveness.I have attached a scan of the front page of the article. It is not available for free online, only the abstract.

Please move your mind to another subject. I am too busy with important work to continually have to correct your mistakes.

It makes you wonder how many unbelieving spouses, and other relatives have experienced this kind of pressure from their JW family, and elders at the local congregation.
